CamCue works next to Zoom without joining the call. It listens to the interviewer through your computer’s audio, reads questions from your screen, and drafts answers from your CV and the job description. It works the same way with Webex and other meeting apps.

How does CamCue work with Zoom?
- Listen records the audio your computer plays, so it hears the other participants in any meeting app. It does not use your microphone.
- Capture and Select read what is on screen: a question in the chat, a shared slide, or a coding pad.
- There is no bot, no calendar connection, and no meeting-account login. The other participants see only you.
Set up before the call
- Install CamCue on your Mac or Windows PC and sign in.
- Choose Interview mode, add your CV, and paste the job description.
- Play the meeting through your computer’s audio. On Windows, make your headset the default output device.
- Run “No call? Try a demo” once to confirm that questions are recognized.
- If you will share your screen, check what others see from a second device.
Screen sharing in each app
| App | Most predictable option | If you share the entire screen |
|---|---|---|
| Zoom | Share one application window | Settings → Share screen → Advanced → Screen capture mode → Advanced capture with window filtering |
| Google Meet | Present a tab or a window | Test with the same browser you will use |
| Microsoft Teams | Share a window | Test with the desktop app or browser you will use |
With Stealth on, CamCue asks the operating system to leave its windows out of screen capture. Whether a meeting app honors that depends on the app, its capture mode, and your system version. The Stealth guide explains the details, and the five-minute test shows how to check.
What meeting apps can and cannot see
Zoom, Meet, and Teams receive your camera, microphone, and shared content. They do not report other apps on your computer to the host. An assistant can still show up through a screen share, a second screen in camera view, or answers that do not hold up under follow-up questions. Can Zoom detect an AI assistant? covers each channel.
Use it where it is allowed
Many interviews do not allow live AI help. Use CamCue to practice, and in live calls only where assistance is permitted. Is using AI in interviews cheating? explains how to check the rules. For sales and client calls, see the real-time AI assistant for calls.
