The short version: your account gives you access to the Free plan or a paid PRO subscription for CamCue on supported desktop operating systems. Keep the app lawful, do not redistribute it, and contact us if something is not working as promised.
1. Acceptance
CamCue is operated by lirik. By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using CamCue, you agree to these Terms of Use. Our Privacy Policy explains how the service processes information. If you do not agree, do not use the website or app. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your country.
2. The product
CamCue is a desktop AI assistant for interviews, coding questions, quizzes, and calls. The current public release supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14.2 or later; Windows is not yet available. Features, compatibility, and system requirements may change as we improve the product. Some features depend on operating-system permissions, hardware, or third-party meeting software that we do not control.
AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect. Review them before relying on them. You are responsible for having permission to process the audio, screen content, and documents you provide, and for following the rules of your workplace, interview, assessment, and meeting platform. Stealth depends on the operating system and capture application; it does not guarantee that CamCue is excluded from every screen share or recording.
Listen uses local speech recognition for system and microphone audio. Capture and Select use local text recognition; AI answers are generated online through CamCue’s service. A CamCue account and internet connection are required for AI features. Speech recognition requires a model download, and the relevant macOS permissions must be enabled.
CVs, job descriptions, documents, and custom instructions help tailor responses, but cannot guarantee accuracy or a particular interview, assessment, or employment outcome. Document extraction and public job-link imports can be incomplete or unavailable. Review imported text and generated answers. The website’s interactive previews use fictional, fixed examples; the in-app practice demo uses AI and its own allowance.
3. Free access, PRO subscriptions, and payments
CamCue offers a Free plan with separate audio and AI credit allowances, and PRO subscriptions billed every 3 days, weekly, or monthly. Your current allowances, remaining credits, and reset date are shown in the app. PRO includes unlimited audio and AI credits; technical rate limits, Listen session limits, and service availability still apply. Prices, billing currency, billing period, taxes, and the final amount are displayed before you confirm payment through Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the account settings in CamCue. Ordinary subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and PRO access continues until that date. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription. After paid access ends, your account returns to the Free plan and its applicable allowances.
PRO access is linked to the CamCue account used for the purchase and is activated after payment is confirmed. To use an existing subscription on another supported computer, sign in to that same account. If access has not updated, use Restore access in the app. Opening or returning from the checkout page alone does not confirm payment. Failed payments may interrupt PRO access; the app provides access to payment-method management.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
When available, a billing-period change is scheduled for the end of your current paid period, with the effective date and new offer shown in the app. It does not immediately replace the period you have already paid for. Displayed savings compare each plan’s daily rate with the 3-day plan; a month is treated as 30 days for that comparison. These are relative savings, not a promise of a previous selling price.
4. Your license
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use CamCue for your own personal or internal business purposes on computers that you own or control. Downloading the app does not require a purchase. A PRO payment grants the paid features for the confirmed access period; it does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property.
5. Restrictions
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, share, rent, or distribute the app or download access;
- circumvent license, payment, access, or security controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use CamCue to violate law, infringe rights, or harm another person; or
- misrepresent CamCue as your own product or remove proprietary notices.
6. Ownership
CamCue, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and website content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of the documents, notes, and other content you create or store in the app.
You authorize us and our service providers to process the content you submit only as needed to provide and operate the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Keep copies of important materials. Session history and context are stored locally and are not a cloud backup or automatic cross-device sync service. Signing into the same account on another computer restores eligible paid access, not your local session history.
7. Updates and support
The app can check for updates and, according to your update settings, download verified update files. Installation may require restarting the app. We may provide fixes, improvements, or new versions. An update may change or remove a feature when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or continued operation. Unless we promise otherwise at checkout, we do not guarantee perpetual updates, support for every operating-system version, or uninterrupted availability.

8. Third-party services
CamCue may operate alongside services such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, but those services are governed by their own terms. We are not affiliated with or responsible for third-party products, availability, changes, or content. Stripe’s terms apply to its payment-processing services.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CamCue is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will meet every requirement or be error-free. This section does not limit warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from CamCue. Our total liability relating to the product will not exceed the amount you paid for CamCue during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including certain consumer rights and liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where applicable.
11. Termination
You may stop using CamCue at any time. Account deletion is different from canceling a subscription: it cancels subscriptions as part of deleting the account and ends access, rather than preserving access until the usual renewal date. Deletion does not automatically request a refund; use the Refund Policy to request one. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. On termination, the license ends and you must stop using and delete the app, except where applicable law gives you another right.
12. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect changes to CamCue, our business, or the law. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects existing users, we will provide notice where required.
13. General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms and the policies they reference form the entire agreement about CamCue. Mandatory laws of your place of residence, including consumer-protection rules, continue to apply.
